Terms of Service

Cyclips is an AI video editing tool for content creators. You add a recording of your own content to your account, either by uploading the file or by pasting the link of the platform where you published it, and Cyclips analyses that video to find the moments you describe and generate short clips with a suggested title, description and tags.

Cyclips does not generate synthetic content: it does not create artificial images, voices, faces or videos, and it does not imitate people. It only analyses and trims video that already exists.

Cyclips is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Twitch, Kick, YouTube or any other platform. Their trademarks belong to their respective owners.

2.1. Only your own or authorised content. You may only use Cyclips with video you own, or for which you have the owner's express authorisation to process it with Cyclips and publish the clips. The rule is the same whether you upload the file or paste a link.

2.2. Your declaration. Every time you add a video, you represent and warrant that:

• you comply with section 2.1;
• if you pasted a link, the video published at that link is yours or belongs to someone who authorised you;
• your use of the clips does not infringe copyright, trademarks, image rights or any other third-party rights.

2.3. Record. Before adding a video by link you must tick the box by which you accept these Terms and make the declaration in section 2.2. We keep a record of that acceptance, as described in the Privacy Policy, and may use it if a claim is made.

2.4. What you may not do. You may not use Cyclips to:

• process other people's video without their authorisation, such as broadcasts, VODs, matches, shows, films, series or other recordings;
• process another person's private, paid or subscriber-only content;
• circumvent passwords, copy protection or other technical protection measures;
• copy, download or redistribute another person's original video. Cyclips does not offer downloads of the original video you add by link: you can only download the clips generated from it;
• process content that is illegal, incites violence or harms minors;
• process sexually explicit, pornographic or adult (NSFW) content, including nudity and sexual acts, or create clips with such content. If we detect it, we remove it and may terminate the account.

2.5. Your rights in your content. You keep ownership of your content and of the clips you generate. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, analyse and process your content solely to provide the Service to you, for as long as your account exists and for the retention periods in the Privacy Policy. We do not publish your content or make it available to third parties: the video and the clips are only accessible from your account.

2.6. Our rights. We may ask you at any time to show that you own a video or are authorised to use it. We may also refuse, remove or delete content, or suspend features or your account, if we receive a claim or have reasonable grounds to believe this section is being breached.

2.7. Responsibility. You are responsible for the content you add and for what you do with the clips. You will indemnify Facundo Jose Escobar Cello and his providers against claims, damages, fines and reasonable costs, including legal fees, arising from your content, from false declarations or from a breach of these Terms.

3.1. How to file a claim. If you believe content processed with Cyclips infringes your copyright, write to copyright@cyclips.com with: your name and contact details; the protected work; the original link of the video or details that identify it; a statement that you act in good faith and that the information is accurate; and your signature, which may be electronic. If you act on behalf of the owner, say so.

3.2. What we do. When we receive a complete claim, we remove or disable the identified content and the clips generated from it, and we notify the user.

3.3. Counter-notice. If you are the user and believe the removal was a mistake, because the content is yours or you are authorised, you may reply to copyright@cyclips.com explaining why, with your details and a good-faith statement. We may forward your reply to the claimant and restore the content where appropriate.

3.4. Repeat infringers. We terminate the accounts of users who accumulate repeated valid claims.

3.5. Authorities. We may provide the record described in section 2.3 to the competent authorities or in legal proceedings related to the claim.

Cyclips uses third-party artificial intelligence models to analyse video. It is an independent product: it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the creators of those models. Results may contain errors, such as a poorly chosen moment, an imprecise cut or an inaccurate suggested text: review every clip and every text before publishing it. You are responsible for the instructions you give Cyclips and for what you publish. We may refuse or limit instructions intended to produce content that is illegal, misleading or infringes third-party rights.

You may not:

• use the Service for illegal or fraudulent purposes, or to send spam;
• infringe third-party intellectual property rights;
• introduce viruses or malicious code, probe or breach the security of the Service, scrape data or overload its infrastructure;
• copy, decompile or reverse engineer Cyclips software;
• open multiple accounts to repeat the free trial or avoid paying;
• dispute with your bank a charge for a purchase you used without first asking us or Creem for a refund;
• resell your account or give third parties access to it.

You must be of legal age and provide accurate information. You are responsible for your credentials and for everything that happens in your account. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use.

7.1. Creem. Our order process is conducted by Creem (creem.io), which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes the payment, issues the invoice, handles customer service inquiries about orders and handles returns. When you pay, you also accept its buyer terms, shown at checkout.

7.2. Packs and extra hours. Starter, Creator and Elite are one-time payment packs, not subscriptions: they do not renew automatically and there are no automatic charges. You can buy as many packs as you want, whenever you want. You can also buy 1 to 4 extra hours in a single purchase. The price, hours and benefits of each option are shown on the pricing page and before you pay.

7.3. Taxes. Prices do not include taxes. Creem calculates and adds those due in your country before you pay.

7.4. Hours. The hours you buy are added to your balance and do not expire.

7.5. Storage and concurrent projects. Every account has 20 GB of storage. The Creator pack raises it to 40 GB and the Elite pack to 80 GB, together with more projects processing at the same time, for 90 days from the purchase of that pack; buying it again renews the period. If you have more than one active pack, the highest level applies. Storage does not add up across purchases. When the period ends, the account returns to the base level. If your content takes up more storage than is available, you will not be able to upload new videos until you free up space by deleting projects; the clips you already generated stay and we do not delete anything for that reason.

7.6. Free trial. Your first account receives 60 minutes of analysis free of charge and without a card, once per person. Trial clips carry a watermark; from your first purchase onward, new clips come without it.

7.7. Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

7.8. Price changes. We may change prices. We will notify you beforehand, and the change does not affect purchases already made or the hours you already have.

We may suspend or terminate your account for a serious breach of these Terms, an unjustified payment dispute, fraud or security risk, or repeated breaches, including the claims described in section 3.4. Where possible, we will notify you and explain why.

You may ask us to close your account at any time. When your account is closed, the hours you have not used are lost; we will tell you how many before closing it. This does not affect your refund rights under the Refund Policy and the law.

The software, the Cyclips brand, the design and the content of the site belong to their owner. These Terms do not give you any right to them beyond using the Service.

Cyclips is provided "as is". We work to keep it running well, but we do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors. Some features depend on third-party services that may change or stop being available.

If we decide to stop providing the Service, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, so you can use your hours and download your clips.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for third-party claims arising from content added by the user. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

We may update these Terms. Important changes will be announced in the Service or by email. If you keep using the Service after the notice, you accept the new version.
